Cooking tips:

  • Serve medium rare for a tender and juicy finish.
  • Marinate prior to cooking and cook for 3-4 minutes each side.
  • Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Pairs nicely with citrus, vinegars, wine, olive oil, flavoured butters and rich umami flavours e.g. tomatoes, jus, soy, oyster sauce.

      We had guests visiting from the UK who were keen to try kangaroo. They’d previously sampled it in Sydney restaurant but felt the marinade overpowered the flavour. This time, they absolutely loved the Paroo Kangaroo Strip Loin — they couldn’t stop raving about the quality, texture, and taste. I don’t eat meat myself, but even I could see it was a high-quality cut. So glad to have found Australian Meats for my meat-eating family and friends!
